DESCRIPTION:Care Partners’ Annual Ice Cream Social Fundraiser will be held on Sunday\, August 30 from 2-4pm at Sydney’s Frozen Custard\, 14 Broadway Avenue in Grand Marais.  Make a donation\, enjoy a delicious frozen custard sundae\, say “hello” to friends and neighbors\, get the scoop on volunteering at Care Partners\, see our beautiful raffle quilt (and maybe purchase a raffle ticket or three)…and once again dance to wonderful live music from the North Shore Swing Band!  All proceeds go to help Care Partners provide support and companionship for community members on the journey of aging and end of life. SUMMARY:Grand Portage Alzheimer's Awareness Walk
DESCRIPTION:All of Cook County is encouraged to participate in the Grand Portage Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk on Saturday\, September 12th! For the past several years an additional Walk was offered in Grand Marais – this time we’re all walking together to raise awareness and support those who have been affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. There are several ways to join in! \n\nClick here to register as a team member and walk on September 12th in memory or honor of a loved one with dementia\, as an advocate for a dementia-friendly community\, or to show your support for a dementia-free world! (Golf carts and 4-wheelers are welcome as a walk alternative.)
