June Arrowhead Caregiver Conference

A Positive Approach to Caring

Care Partners of Cook County and Cook County Higher Education are pleased to be selected as a satellite host team for the regional Arrowhead Caregiver Conference, “A Positive Approach to Caring,” presented by the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (AAAA) on Wednesday, June 28 from 9:30am to 4:00pm. Doors will open at 9am.

The event will be simulcast from Fond Du Lac to three regional locations throughout the Northland, including Cook County Higher Education in Grand Marais.

Whether you are a professional or family caregiver, this free conference is designed to leave you feeling renewed, refreshed, and recharged!

Keynote speaker Melanie Bunn, a certified mentor in Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Dementia Care, will help us learn about the value of humor in staying healthy, and why humor is essential for healthy caregiving.

Our site will also participate in two breakout sessions – “Life Balance for People With Dementia” led by Char Johnson and “The Importance of Social Connections” with Mimi Stender.

Lunch will be provided at the satellite locations, and a virtual-only option is also available. Please register by June 21.

For more information, contact Care Partners at (218) 387-3788.

(Note: this event will take the place of our regularly-scheduled June Lunch & Learn.)
