Care Partners Chore Program

  • Trained volunteers assist Cook County residents aged 60 and over with short-term indoor and outdoor projects
  • Clients are asked to donate based on service provided and income level, but donations are optional
  • Care Partners can also provide a list of local contractors who may be able to help for a fee

Cook County In-Home Support Program

  • In-Home Support serves Cook County residents of any age who have a permanent or temporary disability and individuals age 65 or over regardless of disability status in hiring qualified, trained professionals to provide services such as:
    • Homemaking (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, etc.)
    • Local, non-medical transportation
    • Errand running
    • Companionship
    • Supervision
    • Caregiver respite
  • Hourly rates are established between the client and provider before services begin
  • Financial assistance for services may be available based on income level and needs

Grand Portage Elderly Nutrition Program - Chore Assistance

  • Worker can assist with light chores around the home, including bill-paying, housecleaning, friendly visits and more

North Shore Area Partners - Home Care Service

  • Non-profit organization based in Silver Bay that assists with Home Care along the North Shore from Knife River to Lutsen
  • Potential services include errands & groceries, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication setup & reminders, personal care (hygiene, bathing, dressing) and respite care
  • Private pay and waivered services
