Congregate Lunches & Meal Delivery

  • Dine-in meals served Monday through Friday, 11:30am – 12:30pm at ENP
  • All are welcome – cost of meal depends on age:  65 & older=$2     50-64=$3    under 50 & guests=$5
  • Coffee donations are always welcome
  • Must sign up by 9am the day of the meal; you can sign up for more than one day at a time
  • Lunches can also be delivered to homebound clients with a doctor’s referral
  • Registration forms for long-term meal deliveries are available from the cooks, or from the Elderly Nutrition Program Director

Food Distribution Program

  • Participating households receive a montly food package to help them maintain a nutritionally balanced diet
  • Foods offered may include canned and packaged food, frozen food, specialty, traditional and seasonal items
  • Food package pick-up at 101 Store Road

Food Shelf

  • Open from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday
  • Food shelf located at Grand Portage Human Services
  • Please call ahead so food can be ready for pickup

Mobile Food Pantry Program

  • Monthly supply of supplemental nutrious food for those who are income-eligible or who are in crisis
  • Availability varies, but food package may include cereal, pasta, brown or white rice, protein (chicken, beef, tuna, or peanut butter), milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables
  • Distribution fourth Wednesday of the month - rain or shine
  • Register at the time of food pickup - be ready to provide basic information such as name, address, number of people in the household and household income
  • Make sure your vehicle has capacity for 1-2 boxes of food (limit 4 households per vehicle)

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

  • Support to help stretch household food budget
  • For Minnesotans who meet income guidelines
  • Funds are placed into an EBT card (similar to a debit card) which can be used at any store displaying a poster or sign that reads: “We Accept EBT”
