Silver Bay Veterans Home, Silver Bay (Lake County)

• Four distinct households that combine the look and feel of a northwoods lodge
• Each household includes a living room, dining room and kitchen where meals and activities are offered
• Admission Requirements:
  • Honorably discharged veteran who entered service from Minnesota, or is a current Minnesota resident
  • Served 181 consecutive days on active duty (unless discharged earlier because of disability incurred in the line of duty)
  • Spouse of an eligible veteran who is at least 55 years
    old and meets residency requirements
  • Able to demonstrate a medical or clinical need
    for admission

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MAC-V)

Services for homeless Veterans, or those at risk of being homeless, including:

• Veteran employment and training services
• Veterans legal aid and services
• Assistance to obtain and sustain long-term housing
• Connection to healthcare, recovery/social supports, & VA benefits
• Emergency financial assistance
