Powerful Tools for Caregivers – Fall 2026

Care Partners presents Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week class that gives participants the skills to take care of themselves while caring for a friend or family member – either in their home or from a distance. You are welcome to sign up for this powerful course, whether you are currently caregiving and need some respite and tools to take care of you in the process, or you anticipate being a caregiver in the future. Sessions will be led by trained facilitators Alice McFarlane and Julie Wilson, and will meet in person in the Log Cabin building of the Cook County Community Center, 317 West 5th Street in Grand Marais on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30pm, October 11 – November 17. Class participants also receive a Caregiver Helpbook which accompanies the course and provides additional resources. There is no charge for the class, but an optional $30 suggested donation will help cover the cost of course materials. You can register by calling Care Partners at 218-387-3788 or online using the link below. You can also contact Care Partners for information about respite assistance during the class.
