Cook County Offers Free Healthy Homes Assessment
Cook County is offering a "Healthy Homes" assessment service for residents of Cook County and Grand Portage.
A home visit from a Public Health Healthy Homes specialist will include:
- An assessment of housing conditions that may lead to potential health concerns.
- Education and recommendations for reducing health and safety risks. Income-eligible residents may also receive help with supplies or equipment to remediate health issues.
- A follow-up visit to ensure effectiveness.
