Get out and enjoy the natural beauty of our surroundings here on the North Shore and Gunflint Trail while helping to build community! Join the Happy Hikers for a walk (or a bunch of walks!) on Wednesdays from July 3 through September 25. The group will meet at 9am at the Cook County YMCA east parking lot (by the tennis courts) to carpool to the trailheads, hike for 2-4 miles, and enjoy picnic lunches together. The hikes are of varying difficulties. Hikers should assess their physical ability to do the hikes, and all will be required to sign a liability form.
A description of each weekly hike will be posted in the Cook County News Herald and on the Boreal website (www.boreal.org.) It will also be sent via email to participants.
