Learn to Knit & Felt

Thursdays at the Hub 10:30 am 

• We will be making a small purse/ cell phone pouch (approximately 4″ x 7″). First we will knit them, then we will shrink them (known as felting) and if you’d like, we will explore ways to embellish them (needle felting or felt applique or beadwork).
• During the first session, you will learn to knit. We will decide as a group if we will then complete the knitting on our own or do it together in another session.
• We will then shrink them (wet felting) by hand, let them dry and in another session explore how to embellish them.
• You will need 100% wool yarn (8 oz. is plenty) and size 11 knitting needles (11″ long is ideal) to make the purse.
• All are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Already know how to knit? This is a great way for you to brush up on your skills!
